Here is the first express report for the Leonid 2000 campaign ! I hope you 'll 
be lucky to see more in the next few hours !

2000 November 16 from 02H00 to 5H30 UT
Observer Christophe Marlot

Alt 500 m, country side.

Sky was clear, air dry and temperature 0 (02:00) to -4 C? (5H30). Ideal 
conditions ! There was always 11 stars visible in the pleiades, and double 
open star cluster in perseus was visible with naked yes. I was always 
looking at south : From Sirius through Orion to Auriga and Perseus.

The first leonid came from the moon area and goes left of the Hyades 
and was about 20? long, mag 5 at 02:18.

3:28 mag -1 (this one was maybe on the photo I was taken at this time.

I had about 15 min pose around 4:45, and sometimes one minute to 
change photo exposure.
