From: Dave Hostetter, Louisiana Date: Tue, 19 Nov 2002 23:40:49 -0600 Here in South Louisiana the Leonids were pretty much a washout. I observed from 9:45 - 11:00 UT (3:45 - 5:00 AM CST) and saw only a half dozen meteors through nearly completely overcast skies. The heaviest overcast was of course from about 10:20 - 10:50 UT when it was even hard to see the moon. At least it wasn't cold! Congratulations to everyone who saw the peaks -- your descriptions made them sound pretty good!
