From: James R. Bedient, Honolulu, Hawaii Date: Nov. 17, 1997 I checked the sky a couple of times this morning, and didn't see much in the way of Leonids. Oahu is awash in volcanic haze, and there was a thin cover of cirrus cloud. The naked-eye limiting magnitude was about 2.5. 1300-1310 UT: None seen 1510-1520 UT: One 0 magnitude Leonid seen, about 5 degrees long with a 1 second train. Maybe next year.
