Brief Biographical Information: Prof. Steven B. Mende is associated with the Atmospherics Emission Group at the Space Physics Research Group at the Space Sciences Laboratory of UC Berkeley, California.
Research: Mende is lead investigator of the Wideband Imaging Camera (WIC), a FUV imager instrument, onboard the IMAGE satellite (Imager for Magnetopause-to-Aurora Global Exploration), launched on March 25, 2000 at 20:34 GMT.
