Brief Biographical Information:

Hiroyuki Miura is an HDTV equipment operator for the Japanese Broadcasting Company NHK, Science and Culture Division.

Current Research:

Preparation of high-performance ceramic-based composites or hybrids by microstructural control utilizing crystallization in glasses or liquids

  • Phosphate glasses and glass-ceramics with bioactivity
  • Novel composites and hybrids for tissue engineering
  • Hydrogels derived from phosphate glasses

Research on Leonid MAC:

Mr. Miura operated the HDTV camera onboard ARIA during the 1999 Leonid MAC mission.
