From: Neil Bone, BAA Meteor Section Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2000 09:14:28 +0000 (GMT) Clear and frosty over much of the UK this morning. From my own results at Chichester (50o 49.8'1N, 0o48.3'W), I would concur with the Dutch view - enough going on to make it clear there's a shower in progress, but nothing out of the ordinary. LM4.5 throughout, looking to NNE (UMa). 0440-0510 9 Leonids 0510-0540 5 Leonids 0540-0610 3 Leonids, 3 Sporadics Some bright Leonids about - several in the mag. 0 to -2 class, with good persistent trains. Here's hoping the weather can hold for another 24 hours!
