From: Bert Matous, Putnam Valley, NY Date: Tue, 19 Nov 2002 12:28:35 EST So did I win the bet on the rev 7 over the 4? :-) I got 3:03 time in from 2:48am to 5:55am with a 4 min. break, Had a subpeak near 1025UT, then about 15min. later the main peak, I believe my best count (all in :10 min. intervals) was 106 Leonids in 5.1 skies, alot of dimmer ones, had 2 -4's and 2 -3's, maybe a half dozen -2's. Feeble activity besides the Leonids, but a few apex meteors, maybe 3 Taurids, and 2 Alpha Monocerotids, +2 & +4 on those. Did get mag. and train info on all of it, report to follow in a couple days. The couple nice earthgrazers I saw earlier were reminescent of last years meteors for us, definitely looked like a different filament on this show. Am happy, was the best of my life, being denied in 2001 most of the activity. Inactive for the most part 98 99 00 except for brief glimpse in 98. Congratulations to those who saw it!
