On 17th/18th Following Amature Astronomers. were present fo r the event Sameer Godbole, Vilas Deshpande, Devdatta Mulye, Sukhada Vaidya, Ket ki Rahalkar, Kalyani Date, Swapnil Gholap, Sayli Avachat these members observed the shower and following observation were made: Date: 17/18 November 2002. Timing in UT 20.30HrsUT to 21.30Hrs UT 05 Leonids and 02 Sporadic 21.30Hrs UT to 22.30Hrs UT 10 Leonids and 03 Sporadic 22.30Hrs UT to 23.30Hrs UT 07 Leonids 01 Sporadic 23.30Hrs UT to 00.30Hrs UT 12 Leonids On the next day i.e. 18th/19th Amature Astronomers Sameer Godbole, Vilas Deshpan de, Suhas Gurjar, Devdatta Mulye, Sukhada Vaidya, Ketki Rahalkar,Ketki Matkar . Kalyani Date, Swapnil Gholap, Sayli Avachat, Vinod Bartakee, Priyadarshani, Balk rishna Mahajan (All Member of Jyotirvidya Parisanstha Pune [India]) these member s observed the Skies from 0000Hrs to 0600Hrs IST and following observation were made: Date: 18/19 November 2002.All timing UT >From 18.30HrsUT to 19.30Hrs UT 02 Leonids and 01 Sporadic 19.30HrsUT to 20.30Hrs UT 05 Leonids and 02 Sporadic 20.30HrsUT to 21.30Hrs UT 20 Leonids and 05 Sporadic 21.30Hrs UT to 22.30Hrs UT 50 Leonids and 02 Sporadic 22.30Hrs UT to 23.30Hrs UT 83 Leonids and 05 Sporadic 23.30Hrs UT to 00.30Hrs UT 106 Leonids 01 Sporadic We could see around 266 Leonids and 16 sporadic meteors overnight. Besides visual observations we had our camera's ready for capturing meteors. Around 0510Hrs meteor of -2 mag snaped by me above in the constellation of Canis Major. During the observation under poor limiting conditions (limiting magnitude around 5 to 5.5) we found a clear sky. A few fireballs was also seen... On 19th/20th Amature Astronomers of Jyotirvidya Parisanstha Sameer Godbole and Vilas Deshpande observed the sky. >From 18.30HrsUT to 19.30Hrs UT 02 Leonid and 05 Sporadic 19.30HrsUT to 20.30Hrs UT 06 Leonid and 08 Sporadic Were observed. After 20.30Hrs UT it was unable to observe it because of cloudy sky.
