From: Raymond Lee, Singapore Date: Wed, 18 Nov 1998 18:31:53 +0800 I'm from Singapore(SouthEast Asia). We were out on the on 16th Monday 1730UT +8(Tuesday morning 1.30am, singapore time) I saw 4 fireballs, 1 super fireball, an two normal ones from 0130am to 0330am(clouds came in). But others counted about 10, mostly fireballs. One of the fireballs at North heading towards west, 20degrees above horizon, yellow fireball for about 20sec span across 20degress and left a trail of 2secs. The super fireball was very much brighter the venus, greenish-blue around -5 or even -7! It was about 2sec duration and left a trail of 8 sec! Happened at around 0250am at NorthEastEast, 30degress above horizon. And we were out on the "predicted" time, 17th Tues 1943UT(Wed, 0343hrs local time) and saw nothing special.Manage to catch 14 meteors thru out the morning, only 10 were Leonids. A friend of mine caught 20.
