These are observations of the Leonids meteor shower in Nov, 17 night
from two observers in Canary Islands. =


Despite a minimum temperature of +0,7oC, the very soft wind made it not
uncomfortable. We have good luck with the clouds also: a lot of cirrus
threaten us but all them disapear and we have a clear night.

We use our car to mask the moon, therefore in any moments the field
obstruction was high. The meteors was very fast and bright, most with
negative magnitude and few weaker than 0. Many had trains, the longer
lasting 13 seconds. We didn't observe any meteor from other radiants
(Taurids, alfa Monocerotids) through the night.

A spectacular show but bothered by the moon!
