Brief Biographical Information:
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois
University at Edwardsville. I am employed as a Systems Manager at the
Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. I have
been active in observing and researching comets and meteor showers as an
amateur astronomer since 1973.
I have been married for 18 years to my wife,
Karen. We have two boys, David (12) and Michael (9).

I have had formal papers published in Icarus and the
journal of the International Meteor Organization. I created a successful
web site on Comets and Meteor Showers in 1995.
I wrote the books Comets: A Descriptive Catalog (1984) and Meteor
Showers (1988). My most recent book, Cometography, volume one, was released
by Cambridge University Press during October 1999.
