  • January 1, 2002 and prior - Re-define Leonid MAC approach in contacts with aircraft management, participating researchers, and program managers
  • April 7-14 - Astrobiology Science Conference, NASA Ames, CA
  • May 2-5 - 2002 Leonid MAC Workshop, Tokyo, Japan
  • June 28 - Papers submitted on results prior campaign for special issue "Astrobiology"
  • July 1 - Requests for year 02 funds from NASA/ASTID program and NASA Planetary Astronomy program
  • July 1 - NASA/Ames-SETI Cooperative Agreement in place
  • July 08-July 12 - Bioastronomy meeting, Hamilton Island, Australia
  • July 29-Aug 02 - 2002 Asteroids, Comets, Meteors meeting, Berlin, Germany
  • July 29 - Request foreign Op Rights (FISTA)
  • Aug 02 - Local funding ASUR deployment and postdoc position in place
  • August 11 to 13 - Field tests for instruments and outreach activities during Perseids
  • August 18 - Notify organizations of Passport/VISA requirements

  • Nov 16 (Sa) 19:00 departure Offutt AFB to Torrejon AFB Spain (arr. 10:30), shakedown flight
